Vertical Construction Underway at Bristol at Lake Norman, a 187-Home Build-to-Rent Community

October 8, 2026

Center Park Group has begun vertical construction on Bristol at Lake Norman, a new townhome rental community bringing 187 thoughtfully designed homes to North Carolina’s Lake Norman submarket.

Located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 21 and Norman Ridge Lane in Iredell County, Bristol at Lake Norman will offer residents a residential-style rental experience that combines the space and privacy of a townhome with the convenience of professionally managed living. Developed by The Widewaters Group, the approximately 29.6-acre community is scheduled to open in February 2027, with Center Park Group serving as the general contractor.

Designed for the Way People Want to Live

Bristol at Lake Norman will feature two- and three-story townhomes with three- and four-bedroom floor plans ranging from 1,549 to 2,062 square feet. Each home will include two-and-a-half bathrooms and a one- or two-car garage, providing residents with additional space, functionality and flexibility.

Open-concept living areas, select dining spaces and direct backyard access will create a comfortable, home-like environment. Interior finishes will include quartz countertops, tile primary showers and Trex decking. Residents will also benefit from full appliance packages, including refrigerators and in-unit laundry.

Beyond the individual homes, the community is designed to encourage connection and outdoor recreation. Sidewalks will link residences to shared amenities, including a clubhouse, resort-style pool, dog park and spa. Together, these features will offer residents opportunities to enjoy neighborhood living while maintaining the privacy of their own homes.

Bringing Build-to-Rent Housing to Lake Norman

As the Lake Norman area continues to grow, Bristol at Lake Norman will introduce another housing option for residents seeking convenient access to the Charlotte region without sacrificing the benefits of a more residential setting.

Build-to-rent communities are expanding the traditional rental housing model by offering the space, privacy and features often associated with homeownership alongside the flexibility of renting. Bristol at Lake Norman reflects this evolution, combining thoughtfully designed townhomes with community amenities in a desirable North Carolina location.

“Build-to-rent is evolving beyond the traditional apartment model,” said Jason Esposito, CEO of Center Park Group. “Residents want options that give them the freedom of renting without asking them to compromise on space, privacy or the feeling of home. Bristol at Lake Norman is a great example of where the BTR product is headed, and we are proud to bring the community to life alongside The Widewaters Group.”

Eric Candee, VP of Development and Construction at The Widewaters Group, added, “We’re proud to partner with Center Park Group on Bristol at Lake Norman. Their experience brings the expertise we value in delivering high-quality homes, and we’re excited to introduce a community that offers residents convenient access to employment centers as well as the lifestyle and recreation that make Lake Norman such a desirable place to live.”

Expanding Center Park Group’s Build-to-Rent Portfolio

Bristol at Lake Norman adds to Center Park Group’s growing build-to-rent construction platform across the Southeast. With more than 30 communities underway, representing over 3,000 homes in various stages of development and construction, Center Park Group continues to partner with developers to deliver residential communities across a range of markets.

Through established procurement strategies, structured project execution and repeatable construction processes, Center Park Group supports the delivery of high-quality build-to-rent communities at scale. Each project represents an opportunity to bring together thoughtful planning, efficient construction and the details that help make a house feel like home.

As vertical construction progresses at Bristol at Lake Norman, Center Park Group is proud to work alongside The Widewaters Group to bring this new community to life.
